I spoke to my girlfriend and my family last night about my plans to possibly resign from my job and go out on my own, and they were all unbelievably supportive of it.

I was expecting them to maybe be a little more concerned about it, especially with the financial aspect, but I guess they know I've been squirreling money away and my mum told me I've always been successful at whatever I've done (not strictly 100% true) so she trusts that I'll be fine.

So I guess that's it, resignation here I come! I'll have to work out my notice period for a while, I don't even know how long, but now I can use all my spare time to look for something new, and it's pretty exciting.

I'm going to dedicate myself to a new life search, and am hiding my R4i and PS3 controllers so I don't get tempted and distracted!
